A research from Sheffield Hallam University conducted by John Pates and colleagues examined the effects of hypnosis on flow states and golf-putting performance.
The findings showed that the participants experienced immediate flow effect and felt more relaxed, confident, focused and control over putting strokes. All participants increased their golf-putting performance scores during the intervention.
John Pates confirmed these findings with a further research which involved 11 Senior European Golf Tour events.
